Below is an endorsement letter for Carmel Klavier from Mayor Jim Brainard.  It is an honor knowing our Mayor supports this competition for young artists.

“It is my great pleasure to write in support of the Carmel Klavier International Piano Competition for Young Artists (CK).  Now in its third year, the competition continues to thrive, attracting 130+ participants with a global presence.  CK has established itself as one of the highest profile competitions in the world.

The City of Carmel is a thriving suburban community like none other.  We have adopted a progressive, new-urbanism approach that embraces high-density development, distinct architecture and a dedication to the Arts.  We are very proud to be home to the Center for the Performing Arts, including the world-class, 1,600 seat Palladium Concert Hall, where the Finals, Awards Ceremony and Winners Recital for this competition take place.

The CK Committee is comprised of community volunteers whose work tirelessly to provide the highest standards possible for participating young artists.  In order to do so, however, we need assistance from people such as yourself, who value, understand and support the need for the arts in our lives.  Please join me in supporting the Carmel Klavier International Piano Competition for Young Artists with a tax-deductible gift of your choice.  We gratefully appreciate this chance to add your name to our distinguished list of patrons.”

Most sincerely yours,

Jim Brainard, Mayor

City of Carmel
